In his book The Global Public Square, author and cultural
observer Os Guinness asks this critical question: “How do we live with our deepest differences, when
those differences concern matters of our common public life?”
These are no doubt serious times. We live in a global community that is becoming
more and more fractured and ideologically segregated. Rarely do we connect to
those with whom we disagree, with those we find on the opposite side of an issue.
My goal is to bring together a
cross-section of voices in this space through meaningful conversations on important
social, cultural, political, economic and spiritual issues—in essence, to create
a virtual public square to break down ideological barriers, bridge divides, and
connect strangers who may have otherwise never met.

Rake the Light will also interview emerging writers who can bring a fresh and unique perspective to these complex and controversial issues. I invite you to not only read my blog but to participate in the conversations, dig deep into these issues, build community. I look forward to meeting you here.
